Through the aid of charity supporters

MMP is running 6 children’s homes with a total of about 280 children in the state of Andra Pradesh in India. Each child is supported by a personal supporter (“heart-child-parent”), who funds the child with 20 US $ /month aimed for care and education at the children’s home.

Each supporter receives information about their particular child, the name, a photograph and a personal letter twice a year.

FAMILY CARE Amalapuram

FAMILY CARE Amalapuram, is another branch of MMP's organisation. It targets poverty stricken households with children who are deprived of any education for financial reasons.

The needs are substantial, so any aid is of great importance. Today MMP care for more than 400 families.

THE LEPROSY-CENTRE NEW LIFE CENTER in Amalapuram

Each patient staying at New Life Center has a personal supporter through MMP, who pays 30 US $ /month. It covers medication, care as well as board at the centre. There are around 50 leprosy-patients. Each supporter receives the name of their leprosy-friend, a photograph and continuous letters together with information on their progress.

Through free offerings

at church gatherings when BirGitta and Swante are performing, MMP is able to run new projects and support the maintenance of :

  • School-buildings, renovation and extentions
  • Drilling of wells
  • Electricity generators to each children’s home and to NLC
  • Patient accommodation at NLC
  • New showers and toilets at all the children’s homes
  • Hospital fees (Operations required for polio-infected children, leprosy-sufferers and cancer-patients)
  • Clothes, shoes, furniture etc.

All the costs for the above necessities are mainly covered by these free offerings donated at church meetings and gatherings with BirGitta & Swante

MMP is a registered charity foundation, operating under the Swedish charity foundation legislation “Nya Stiftelse-lagen” Regular financial inspections and audits are carried out by the firm of chartered accountants Ernst & Young.
